LifeCampUSA

LifeCampUSA is an all-expense paid summer camp for young men (6th-8th graders) who have lost their fathers to US military or law enforcement service (either direct service or suicide). The goals of LifeCampUSA are threefold: 1. To assist in the transition from adolescence to young adulthood by modeling biblical “manly” values, principles, and behaviors. 2. To affirm or introduce the value of spiritual faith in one’s life. 3. To provide assistance in the grief process associated with the loss of a father. After each camp the boys are followed up through an established aftercare program called LifeCare, which reinforces the lessons learned at camp and encourages the camper to engage with sports, academics, church, community service projects, or other youth groups.
